a travel themed wedding

finding a theme for your wedding can be tricky.  themes can be a fun and personal way to make your wedding unique, but it is easy to get carried away.  finding a happy medium is a necessity.  for us it was easy.  with an upcoming move to europe in the near future what better theme for a wedding than travel?  i have always loved all things travel, especially old vintage globes and maps which would be a perfect centerpiece or guestbook table addition.
these diy luggage tag escort cards were the perfect addition to our travel theme.  complete with name and destination, guests knew where to find their table.

these postcards found on zazzle.com made for the perfect table name cards

since i started wedding planning i have fallen in love with all things vintage, from wedding and engagement accessories to home decor.  this vintage suitcase i thrifted made the perfect card box.  i threw on travel postcards in lieu of vintage travel stickers. it was my absolute favorite small detail of the day.

this guestbook is just a coffee table book of skyline of the world: yesterday and today.  guests could sign on a page of a place they had traveled to and give us travel or marriage advice.  it will now have its own spot in our home as our coffee table book.
